North Ohio Heart Center Recognized as Healthy Workplace

North Ohio Heart Center was recently recognized as a Gold Start! Fit-Friendly Company, by The American Heart Association (AHA).

The Start! Fit-Friendly Companies Program recognizes workplaces that create a culture of physical activity, promote wellness and implement nutritional and cultural changes within the workplace environment.

As a Gold Level Start! Fit-Friendly Company NOHC completed the
following parameters:

• Offered employees physical activity support - like the 2010 Lorain County Heart Walk!
• Provide/increase healthy eating options at the work site - Download our healthy-alternative cookbooks, written by NOHC/OMG employees!
• Promote a wellness culture
• Implement at least nine criteria (as outlined by the AHA) in the areas of physical activity, nutrition and culture
