Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of adults in the United States. The American Heart Association’s Heart Walk is designed to promote heart-healthy living and physical activity all while raising funds to save lives from heart disease and stroke.
Lorain County’s Heart Walk will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 14 at Avon Commons.
Ways to Make a Difference
When you join Heart Walk, you’ll be among 1 million participants in over 300 cities all working together to stop heart disease and stroke.
Get started by creating a team, joining as an individual or joining a team. When you register for the Lorain County Heart Walk, you’ll be prompted to create a personal page, which you can use to establish your fundraising goal and promote your participation in the event. A personal page is a great way to share information with friends and family and collect online donations.
You can also donate to support an individual or support someone walking.
